Animal advocates may be aware of the “Suicide Food” web site which features pictures of other animals who appear to want to be eaten.
Such images and representations are a part of the ongoing socialisation processes that we are subject too. Suicide Food, we may say, documents easygoing speciesism – but there are other images that oppress others: sexist, racist, ableist images, for example.
